It's about time for me to update my info. Life changes. COVID-19 changed everything. My life is very different now.
From editing to university to study nursing. That's a large jump, but being isolated showed me how much I need people. I can live inside myself, wrapped in my three cats - Kit, Geralt, and Peeny - with only my husband and my father as close human contacts, but it's a dark place. It's empty and filled with echoes of dreams.
For three years I have been sitting on my next book, Plastic Arrangement, awaiting the day I can finish. The words are all complete, but the images await me, trapped in my head. COVID-19 changed my focus. Many of those images were of movement and unimpeded travel through a city. I cannot place myself into the headspace I require for that book, for those images, while we are held so strongly in the grip of this virus. I imagine it will be at least two more years before Plastic Arrangement becomes I project I can touch again.
Meanwhile, life continues. I am still deeply involved in cybersecurity, and a lot of my passion continues to flow to TuskCon and CrikeyCon. The walrus, in particular, has all my love.
